La Marinella

I spent three days and two nights here, close to the center and just steps from the seafront. My booked single room wasn't available when I arrived, but Mrs. Maria quickly got in touch with the owner and sorted out another room. It turned out to be a spacious mini-apartment with a big bathroom, kitchen and dining area, a double bed, and a third fold-out bed beside the closet. It had air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, and an ironing board. I was charged the quoted €80 for two nights in a single room, even though they accommodated me elsewhere. They also let me leave late in the afternoon on departure day, so I could make the most of my last vacation day. I appreciated the complimentary water on the dresser. There are shops, bars, and pubs close by. The staff were helpful, and the value and location were great.

The staff were very polite and helpful, but I wouldn't stay here if you need to sleep. Across the street, loud music went on nonstop until 2 a.m. One of the rooms was in a separate building and had no windows that opened.

The rooms are new and clean, and the mattresses were comfortable. There is air conditioning, a mini-fridge without a freezer, and complimentary water. The hotel is central and close to the sea, with plenty of free outdoor parking in the main square. Breakfast is paid for with vouchers at a nearby café. They usually have croissants, which weren't great, plus a few other options, coffee, and juice. The café itself is nice, and you can sit outside. The downsides: there's no view, just the shell of an abandoned building, and Wi-Fi can be unreliable in the bunker rooms, sometimes leaving you completely cut off. Nightlife in the neighboring square can also get noisy.

We liked the cozy rooms, friendly service, and great location. The private kitchen was lovely and handy with small children. Recommended.
