The food is amazing, and the wine is even better. The host and his wife went out of their way to make me feel at home, and they’re wonderful people. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with flawless tile work. You can hear your neighbors a bit through the thin walls, and the shower was decent, though a better showerhead would be nice. A lovely family-run hotel and restaurant.

A wonderful spot for hiking or trail running. We had a fantastic dinner here last night with friends visiting from England, with some of Valtellina’s finest specialties cooked superbly. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We’ll be back for another meal and more of that excellent wine made here.

The rooms get really hot in summer, so keep that in mind if you’re visiting then. There’s no air conditioning. The location is lovely, though, and both breakfast and dinner were very good.
