The apartment is roomy and comfortable, and for €66 a night it’s been the best value we’ve had in Italy so far. The host even let us use the washing machine downstairs, which was a huge help with a load of hiking clothes. The living room has a proper couch, a flat screen TV with Netflix available, and another small table where we ate the dinner we’d cooked. One wall is covered with pop culture books and movie memorabilia. Back to the Future fans will be thrilled. There’s a well-stocked breakfast waiting in the fridge and cupboards, with eggs, milk, juice and cereal, so we could eat whenever we wanted. The kitchen is easily the best-equipped one we’ve come across on our Italy travels: a four-burner gas cooktop, small oven, microwave, full-size fridge, plenty of cookware and utensils, dishes, cups and glasses. There’s also a great pod espresso machine and a little table. The bedroom is large and the bed comfortable. Shutters make it dark enough for good sleep, and the town is quiet. The bathroom is spacious, with strong shower pressure and seemingly endless hot water. We’d happily recommend the place.

For breakfast, there’s a generous choice, with yogurt, milk, pod coffee, tea, herbal teas and infusions, plus toast, jams, biscuits, tart slices, Kellogg's cereal and cookies packaged to stay fresh. You can help yourself whenever you like, which is ideal if you enjoy a hearty breakfast. This is really an apartment, not just a B&B room: it has a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and anteroom. The kitchen feels like home and has been renovated with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, stovetop and large refrigerator. Nothing seemed to be missing in the drawers and cabinets. There are three TVs, one small one in the bedroom and two large ones in the living room and kitchen. Everything was impeccably clean. I’ve stayed in plenty of serviced apartments, but none matched this one. A relaxing place at a reasonable price is key to a good vacation, and this place fits that perfectly.
