We had a really distressing, humiliating experience as a family traveling with children. There was no one at reception when we arrived, and we couldn't find any information, phone number, or directions for contacting staff. A waitress at the restaurant next door kindly called someone for us, but we still waited about 45 minutes for a staff member to show up. When he arrived, the person in charge said the children's ages weren't on our reservation and demanded extra payment. I calmly said we'd entered their ages correctly and could show the voucher confirmation. The internet was very slow, and before I could open the booking details, he became aggressive and impatient. He told us to leave if I didn't pay immediately. Even though I believed I was right, I said I'd pay because it was late, I was with my children, and we had no realistic alternative accommodation then. He wouldn't listen and effectively threw us out. Hotels.com later confirmed that the children's ages had been entered correctly in the reservation system, so the hotel's accusation was unfounded. This was unacceptable and extremely upsetting. We expect the matter to be taken seriously.

Quiet, cheap, clean, and cheerful, with a great central location. The mattress is a bit worn, and there's no sink, so there's no kitchen, just a kettle and toaster. Still, it's central, quiet, and cheap.
