Buonocore Guesthouse

Ettore was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and the guesthouse felt homely with just three rooms. Our room and bathroom were both spacious. It’s in central Bergamo, well placed for the station and Borgo Santa Catarina. There’s coffee in the shared kitchen, as well as access to a fridge. Highly recommended.

The room is small, but really comfortable, and we enjoyed every second of our conversations with the friendly, helpful owner. He gave us a warm welcome, and the garden was tidy and open for guests to enjoy. Quiet, beautiful, vintage feel. This place made our trip even better.

We were only going to stay one night, but liked it so much we added another. I wish we could have stayed longer. Ettore was a great host and shared useful advice on places to eat, where to buy local products, parking, and good routes for exploring town. Our room had a little lounge area and a wonderful private terrace, and guests can also use the lovely garden. Everything was clean and quiet. It may seem a bit far from the center, but Citta Bassa, with its lively spots, is actually close, and the walk there is lovely. You can park inside Ettore’s private yard, or use the free, safe spaces just around the corner.

The bright mornings, quiet streets, vintage doors, and calm locals made this feel like everything I’d want from a small European town. As a solo Black female traveler in Italy, I’m giving this place and city a 👍🏾. It’s a four-minute walk from the main road. Great establishment and hospitality. I might visit again! 🇮🇹
