Albergo La Piana

Small.

We booked two nights because the hotel was close to our party at Club Florida. The location was lovely, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and nice, with a beautiful old Italian feel. The decor is a little dated, but it was still fine, and the bathroom had clearly been modernized recently. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We’d recommend the hotel. Breakfast was a letdown for me. There was plenty of food, but it was mostly packaged cookies, pastries, fruit, and sweets. There wasn’t even a basic cheese or egg sandwich. If you’re used to a hearty or healthy breakfast, like many Dutch people, you may want to skip it. I think this is just a very Italian style of breakfast, but I was disappointed.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with toiletries and dispensers provided. Breakfast is simple, and the reception staff are very kind. I’ve stayed here a few times, just for one night each time. It’s very handy for the Florida nightclub, only a few minutes away on foot, and you can come and go whenever you like with the key card. I recommend it!

The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished, and very clean, with a rustic, homey style that felt like a country farmhouse. The area itself seemed peaceful and quiet, mostly agricultural and away from the usual city-center bustle. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the staff were always happy to help with what guests needed. They even opened the breakfast room half an hour early for me, which was a really kind gesture and not something I take for granted. Trattoria La Rosa is across the street and is run separately by relatives of the hotel managers. I highly recommend it for traditional food at reasonable prices. I wrote a review of it too, if you’d like to know more. The only small downside was that the bed felt a bit hard, but it barely affected my very positive impression. I’d love to come back. I meant to leave a tip but completely forgot when I left, so I’ll make up for it next year. I recommend the hotel in the meantime!
