What stood out most was the owner's help. He replies to questions on Booking.com very quickly and is always ready to sort out any problems. On arrival day, he was attentive by phone and even offered at the last minute to collect us from Bergamo train station when we were coming from Milan. He did, then drove us around part of the upper town before taking us to the hotel. It was starting to rain, and we especially appreciated that, since we only had a few hours in the city. The place isn't really a hotel, but an apartment building, so we had the comforts of home: a spacious bathroom and bedroom, a living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen. It felt like a real luxury for the price. There's a 24/7 Carrefour about a minute away on foot. We only stayed a few hours. If you're spending time sightseeing in Bergamo, the location may not be ideal: you need to rely on the bus, and it's not in the center, either the lower or upper town. That's probably the main drawback, though it's easy to work around. The next morning, very early, the owner drove us to the airport himself without any trouble. We didn't have to worry about transport and saved some money: he charged €10, while a taxi costs €20-€25. The hotel is a ten-minute drive from Bergamo Airport. We'd likely stay again if we returned to explore the city more leisurely or visit other nearby places. I'm grateful again to the owner for his kindness, generosity, and helpfulness.
