The interior was absolutely beautiful, especially for someone like me who loves antiques. We appreciated the free breakfast too. The only drawback was the traffic noise, since our windows faced right onto the road. Apart from that, everything was excellent, and it was a wonderful place to spend a couple of nights in Bergamo.

We stayed three nights in the Elizabeth 1 room, which had its own assigned bathroom, and didn’t have a single problem. It was cozy, spotless, and even smelled nice. The bathroom was very clean and had all the amenities. For us it was a great value, and the antique furniture and decor made the stay feel romantic and connected to Bergamo’s character. The location suited us perfectly: peaceful and charming, with a short walk up to Citta Alta and about 15 minutes down to the town center. The host checked in to make sure we could find the B&B and manage check-in, and sent detailed bus directions too. This was the perfect first B&B of our Italy trip. Bergamo will always have a place in my heart, and we’ll certainly return if we’re back in the city.

The owner was kind and responsible, explaining all the self check-in and check-out details in advance. We had a wonderful stay in these atmospheric apartments, close to the old upper town and within walking distance of everything a tourist needs. Getting to or from the bus station or airport was convenient too. The rooms have lovely authentic decor, comfortable beds, and a spacious bathroom with all the amenities. Our windows looked onto a pleasant, narrow Italian street. There was also a selection of delicious tea for cozy evenings. Breakfast is served at a choice of two cute nearby cafes.

The room was spacious and clean, and the private bathroom, just outside it, was clean too with a nice hot shower. Breakfast is at a choice of nearby bars, with coffee or tea and a cornetto you can choose. Check-in was easy, and Christian was very kind. The spot is cute and perfectly placed between the lower and upper city. The main problem was the noise: the old windows let in every sound from outside. Cars are apparently not supposed to drive through from 11 PM to 7 AM, but some do anyway, and they woke us several times. Besides that, it was a perfect stay.
