La Castellana

I ended up paying 120 Eur and couldn't get into the room unless I sent passport copies for myself and the other traveler. I'd already paid for the room, so being pressed to send those documents through chat or email felt like blackmail. I don't know who would receive the data, where it would go, or how it might be used. I stayed at another hotel in Bergamo instead, where we were welcomed properly with smiles and no demands like that. If the reception closes at 22:00, they should handle the passport check when they come in the morning, rather than insist guests send copies to who knows where. The service team's reply doesn't change my view. Asking for passport copies by chat or email shows zero respect for private data. This place gave me no transparency, and I regret having anything to do with them. Maybe they think this is acceptable in their world of broken mirrors, but not in the civilized world or anywhere else I've traveled. I say they scammed me based on what happened, not some theory. Good luck scamming others. Especially avoid arriving after 10:00 PM, when they may demand passport copies by chat or refuse entry. There are plenty of decent hotels in Bergamo. This is a shady place and I don't recommend it.

Everyone was wonderful, from check-in through breakfast, and the location was great. The room wasn't actually inside the hotel, but it was quiet and clean. The staff were so accommodating, and I'd happily stay again if I get the chance.

The rooms have air conditioning, and La Castellana is in a great spot in the lower old town. The staff were very friendly. If we return to Bergamo, we'll stay here again.

We'd made a mistake with our booking dates, but the staff promptly contacted the booking platform and sorted it out, so we could enjoy the stay without stress. From the moment we arrived, everyone at La Castellana Loft Hotel made us feel welcome and cared for. We were delighted with the experience and recommend it to anyone looking for friendly staff, great service, and a relaxing stay.
