The shower's water pressure was a real problem. I reported it on the first night, but nobody followed up with a fix, an update or even an apology. For a 4-star hotel, that lack of response was disappointing, and guest relations should be more proactive when problems come up. The place itself is beautiful, a former monastery with common areas like the lounge that are full of character and beautifully designed. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The location is excellent, with a great range of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good, with more than the usual Italian croissant-only choice, though the selection wasn't huge. The coffee was a highlight, and I really appreciated the modern, well-equipped gym available through a fitness franchise partnership.

The staff were really helpful, and the bar is excellent. This historic building is a fabulous place to stay, in just the right spot in Bergamo, with good restaurants and transport links close by. The rooms are comfortable, though a little tired in places. Highly recommended for a visit to this wonderful city.

The spa privacy we paid €50 for wasn't provided. There was a couple in it during our assigned time, though they left 10mins in, and another woman came in 30mins before our slot ended. Staff said the spa was private, but that wasn't our experience. Our room had mold, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Breakfast was very basic too, with no granola or Italian breakfast items. The location was good, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had lunch in this newly renovated monastery in the middle of Bergamo, Italy, and it was a very nice setting. The food was high quality, and the preserved wall paintings added a lovely touch to the experience. There are indoor tables and indoor terrace tables.

The staff were gracious and helpful, and the food was delicious. It's a lovely hotel in a very good location. The rooms are on the small side, as they often are in small European cities.
