Residence Bonomelli

The room was cosy and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet even though the road is busy all the time. The door lady was super friendly. It was much easier to cook here than at other places, which mattered with my strict allergies, and the kitchen was clean and had everything needed. The shower temperature worked for everyone's preferences, and there was a bidet too. It's a short walk from the station and easy to reach from either the bus or train station. We've stayed in Bergamo several times, but this was our best experience so far. We're thinking of booking again with our friends for a holiday.

This place called my friend an “idiot” and sent racist messages. Worst place ever. Avoid these hateful clowns at all costs. Even the central train station feels safer than here!

When we arrived, we were asked for another 46,35€ for “tourist tax and final cleaning,” even though I had paid more than 100€ on booking.com for the room and thought the tax and everything else were included in the 106€. That felt like 47€ thrown away. The room itself was in a basement, where we could hear every train arriving at the station. Check-in was a nightmare because the host hadn't emailed any instructions for getting inside. Luckily, the doorkeeper was there and was very kind and helpful. We got in only because she called the host and asked him to send the information. When I tried calling him, he ignored my number. Please don't go there. The whole system was horrible. If we'd arrived on a weekend, we wouldn't have got in. Truly a catastrophe!

The staff were very good and went along with all my requests, including arranging a private parking space. It's well located near the train station. The rest of the city takes a bit of walking, but Bergamo is small and best seen on foot.
