The check-in spot is just around the corner, as shown in the photo. This is a nice place, but it needs more attention. Only one ceiling light works, the heating isn't proper, and the bathroom has no hooks, shelves or toilet seat. The cleaning could be better too.

This is no hotel. We had to check in somewhere else, but that wasn't mentioned on their webpage or in the itinerary. An email alone doesn't cut it. I was locked out at the entrance and made several calls with no answer, so I had to give up and book another hotel. Worse still, they gave no apology and kept all the money.

The location is good, especially for walking easily to Città Alta, and the advice we got was helpful. That was the saving grace. The bathroom wasn't heated or insulated, the hot water tank couldn't handle three showers with only 15 liters, and the mattresses were really uncomfortable. Only one light in the main room worked, and we weren't given one blanket per bed despite the cold in Bergamo. They supplied tea bags, but no kettle or cups, so the thoughtful gesture went to waste. The card machine also didn't work, and we had to pay in cash even though that hadn't been the arrangement.
