The Village B&B

After a long trip from Rome, this B&B has become a safe haven for me when I travel to Bergamo for health reasons at Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital. I stay here regularly because it's handy for the hospital and also has good transport connections to the city center. The owners are kind and helpful, and I've always found the room clean.

It was a very poor experience. We stayed there on Thursday 11 November, but the other guest kept the television on and prevented us from sleeping until 3 at night. Then their alarm went off at 5, leaving us with a sleepless night. The sound insulation between the two rooms is inadequate, so it doesn't provide the privacy you'd expect. Booking the whole apartment would probably be better. One positive is that the hospital is nearby and easy to reach on foot.

The owners are wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The B&B is clean, well maintained, and even pleasing to look at, with every comfort you could wish for. It's ideally placed for anyone needing the hospital, and public transport makes the city center easy to reach. I highly recommend it!

The house dog was absolutely adorable, and breakfast was plentiful. We stayed for two nights at the beginning of September, three of us attending a singing contest, and had almost the whole B&B to ourselves. The hosts were always around and ready to help however they could. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and being able to prepare breakfast ourselves was an added bonus. Thanks for everything, we hope to see you again soon.
