The changing-room door wouldn’t close, and the shower soap was watery. Inside, the pool water was barely warm, so sitting in it made us cold. Loud kids were throwing goggles at each other, splashing, and jumping in. We went outside to get away from them, but horse flies kept trying to bite us, so relaxing was impossible. The SPA was anything but relaxing.

The suite was wonderful and really big, and the dinner with local food was good. The spa has indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and a Turkish bath, though we didn’t like the massage. Breakfast was poor, just a few cakes and a couple of other things in a very tiny space. At checkout, which is at 11:00 am, they wouldn’t give us even until 11:30 after we asked for a little extra time. We had a package for two with a 20-minute couples massage, spa access, a suite, next-day breakfast, and Saturday dinner. Staff were nice and professional when we arrived on Saturday afternoon. One night with dinner, breakfast, spa, and massage for two cost 500 euros, too expensive.

We only had lunch. It was reasonably good apart from the awful rice dish, especially since Lombardy grows so much rice and they should know how to cook it. The meat course wasn’t very good either. Disappointing.

For my boyfriend’s birthday, I arranged dinner with friends here. Before I booked, the staff patiently answered all my questions, and they even organized a last-minute dinner for one person. The food was amazing, delicious, and finger-licking good. The quality was super, and the portions were overwhelming :) Glad I picked this place, and I hope to come back for the next occasion soon :)

I usually like country restaurants, but this place felt shabby, almost trashy. I’d expected a more refined country house and delicious food, but the food was disappointing too. If you do go, at least book a table indoors, since outside there are lots of very aggressive, persistent country flies.
