Mila Guest House

Stefano made us feel very welcome and was always ready to answer questions or help with anything. He also shared ideas for things to do nearby and around Rome, from bars and restaurants to shops and events. We felt a real connection with him as our host. Our music-themed room at Mila Guest House was delightful and had everything we needed. The place is comfortable, well decorated, and in a good area with plenty of restaurants and bars, a short walk from central Rome. We'd thoroughly recommend staying here.

A handy place to stay in Rome if you want to avoid expensive hotels and bad hostels. Transport is only a few steps away, and the rooms have nice decor. Highly recommended.

The music room is really cool, and everything was very clean. It's close to two different Metro stops. The price and quality are in perfect balance, so I'll definitely come back.

The movie-themed room was quirky, and there were other themes like sport and music. It felt a bit like a student room, with a very small shared kitchen. The Lavazza coffee machine was the best part. We got two messages on arrival morning warning that the lock could be temperamental. It was, and getting into the apartment wasn't easy. Someone else has also reviewed this problem. The owner then messaged that the air conditioning had broken the day before. A review from July 2 also mentioned it wasn't working. They provided a portable unit with a hose through the window, but it wasn't sealed properly and the hot air came straight back in. I had to block the gaps. It was 36 degrees that day. The WiFi barely worked. We got a couple of hours, then it went down, leaving us without TV and making it hard to plan the next part of our trip. We had to use mobile data. I was also concerned that if there were a fire in the corridor, there'd be no way out. The apartment is on the ground floor, but the windows have two sets of iron bars. You'd need an angle grinder to get out, or have to hope the fire service arrived in time. We never saw the owner, though she did communicate. She wasn't quick to reply, especially when we messaged about the WiFi. I know others had a good experience and gave the property high scores, but I wish I'd read more about the positives.
