The manager's story and conversation can leave you feeling inspired, with a little more to your own life story too. Ostello Bello has a room for everyone: solo travelers, especially women, can feel safe and welcome; groups can get away from noise and maybe their phones; digital nomads have a peaceful, inspiring spot to work with breathtaking hill views; and families can unplug from city life. Every room has its own creative style, and sleeping in the Tower feels like a dream. In warm weather, the little pool is a quiet oasis that can turn into a lively barbecue with excellent local wine. It's just a great place to spend time.

You start dreading the day you'll have to leave after just a couple of days here. The calm has more of an effect on you than you'd expect. Ostello Bello is a really beautiful hostel right in the Umbrian countryside, ideal for a quiet stay with family, friends, or on your own. I'd recommend it to everyone.

We loved relaxing in the Secret Garden, especially in the hammocks, and the pool was a lovely way to cool off. Our family room had three beds, worked well for us, and came with a great view. The bathroom was beautifully designed, and the staff made us feel at home. Ostello Bello is in a fantastic spot in Torre del Colle, which is incredibly beautiful, and we had a delicious meal at the Serpillo restaurant right next door. We'd happily come back again and again.

There was no public transport, and when I got to Assisi around 7 pm, nobody answered my call. I had booked through HostelWorld, so with no way to get there, I had to cancel the trip.
