Francesca made our stay feel special, always cheerful and ready to help with extra requests, from restaurant bookings to directions. Breakfast was fresh and outstanding every day. Villa Chiara is a great base for the scenery and lakes nearby, with Switzerland only a short drive away. We’d love to come back.

Francesca really made us feel at home. She brought us everything we asked for, lit a fire in the evening, and made a wonderful breakfast the next morning. The service and warm, ongoing support lived up to the “Luxury B&B” promise. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is well equipped, and there are complimentary drinks in the minibar plus coffee and tea in the kitchen. You can see lago di varese, and there’s direct access to the lakeside trail, including by bike. Free bikes were available and in very good shape. A lovely place for one night or longer, close to Varese.

The view over Lake Varese is stunning, and you can get to the lake easily on foot or using the bicycles the owners provide. Francesca’s breakfasts are legendary. With its courtesy and elegance, this is one of the most beautiful, intimate bed and breakfasts by the lake. A truly deserved five stars. I’ll definitely return with my whole family.
