Novanta

The sacred forest hike was the highlight of our trip, and the raw natural beauty around us brought complete peace. Food was outstanding, with dishes that tasted of the region. The staff were especially memorable, attentive and passionate about their work. A rare, profound connection with nature and a perfect five-star experience.

The Tuscan chef cooked excellent meals and was very friendly. The place has a beautiful natural setting and a welcoming atmosphere, with young Italian and Dutch people helping manage it and keep things cheerful. Rooms are pleasant and simple, though not luxurious. In winter, the rooms are too cold: the property relies on stoves and fireplaces, which work well in the shared spaces. The heating system is being built, so perhaps the winter problem will be solved.

Returning to the hotel after outings to nearby towns and villages felt like coming home. The valley view is beautiful and makes you think about all the adventures nearby. Novanta is surrounded by Tuscan hills and scenery, an escape from busy life with good food, company, and a simple kind of Italian luxury. Staff were welcoming and attentive, even bringing me a hearty bouillon when I felt unwell. The food celebrated authentic Tuscan flavours and used amazing local ingredients. Novanta brings together relaxation and adventure, nature and access to cities, luxury and simplicity, plus incredible food and good wine. I can’t wait to return.

The pasta-making workshop was one of the many highlights, and the charming Italian chef made it incredibly delicious with his wonderful skills. I loved my three-day team-building break here. The hosts were such kind, smiley people and made the stay unforgettable. For excellent food, peace, nature, and a real break from endless notifications and obligations, this is the place. ❤️
