There were five of us in apartment 61 and we all had plenty of room. It has a double bedroom, a triple bedroom, and a comfy sofa bed in the kitchen. The place was very clean, with a bathroom on each floor, both with a toilet and shower. We also had air conditioning upstairs and downstairs, two TVs (one with German channels), free Wi-Fi, and a washing machine. The two big balconies were a bonus. We'd happily stay there again.

The agency staff were friendly and quick to help whenever we raised something, and booking through them went smoothly. The bathrooms have been modernized, and the kitchen is reasonably updated and well equipped. But the apartment itself was a struggle in the July heat. There was just one air conditioner, awkwardly placed in the stairwell, and it was over 30°C every day and night. The fridge took nearly a day to get cold, and the water heater was very slow too, so it's better not to switch it off. The stairs to the upper floor have no handrail, which would be hard for young children or older people. Much of the furniture seems original to the building, and about half of it was broken. Some old tiles are still around. The apartment is listed for seven, but that would feel cramped, especially with the tiny sofa bed blocking the balcony door. For a week with mild weather, if you don't need much space and are comfortable paying a fairly high price, it might work. Otherwise, I hope the renovation carries on and the air conditioner gets moved somewhere more useful.

The best part for us was the location: it's peaceful at night, but just a couple of minutes from the shopping street, loads of restaurants, and about five more minutes to the beach. We were happy overall and would return. There are roomy balconies on both floors, with seating downstairs, plus a drying rack and clothesline. The upstairs stairs are narrow but we managed with a suitcase. Both floors had air conditioning, included in the price. The furnishings were fine, not new, but still in decent shape. The agency was responsive and helpful with any problems. A few things could be better: no vacuum cleaner, even though guests have to leave the place clean; the downstairs shower is very narrow; and the mattresses are quite soft, perhaps better for shorter people. The wool blankets smelled musty, though it was warm enough that we only used the covers, and we brought our own sheets. The washing machine was clean and odor-free.

The location worked really well for us, on a quiet side street but close to the center. A supermarket with fresh baked goods is around the corner, and the beach and the party mile are nearby. Our stay included a parasol and two loungers. We had an underground parking spot too, though our double-cab pickup only just squeezed between the pillars. A small or medium car should be fine, and it beats hunting for street parking. We were five people in apartment 61 for a week. It was perfectly adequate, but apartments are privately owned and handled through the agency, so furnishings and facilities differ from one unit to another. Ours was west-facing over two floors. The narrow stairs weren't a big issue. The kitchenette, microwave, and gas stove were in good condition, and the downstairs bathroom looked recently renovated. There was a large upstairs balcony with an awning, useful in the evening. The downstairs bedroom had a double bed; upstairs there was another double and a single bed. It's no five-star hotel, but we didn't need that. I did miss having a vacuum to deal with the sand. The agency service was decent. Check-in was listed as 3 p.m., although on Saturday we could have arrived from 10 a.m. The early checkout at 7 a.m. was a real help, since after 8:30 the walk to the autostrada can take a long time. For the price, it was good value. We mainly needed somewhere to sleep and change, and would book it again if we came back to the area.
