Hotel Danieli

There's plenty of storage space, but that was the only plus for us. The TV is very old and can't be used to stream from a phone. The hotel says it's pet-friendly, yet it doesn't seem to welcome pets: they didn't even give us a water bowl for our dog. They said they use the right chemical to clean the room, but used water and chlorine instead, and charged €12 per night. Pets aren't allowed on the beach, and at breakfast or dinner we had to sit at a separate table away from everyone so we wouldn't disturb them. I don't understand it. I wouldn't book here, and Hotel Palace was the same. If you arrive by car, ask for a space with no car parked next to yours. Otherwise they try to squeeze another car in so tightly that you nearly crash.

Everything was so well organized that it surprised us. The hotel is close to the beach, has lots of handy extras, and the staff are always glad to help. It's a great place, and we'll definitely return.

The restaurant really stood out, the food was superb and the waiters and head waiter were perceptive and discreet. Staff were also super friendly, especially with children and older guests. The hotel is just 50m from the beach, with sea views and a nice breeze on the balcony at night. We could relax by the pool, get a cocktail at the bar, or watch TV with other guests in the evening. The rooms were practical and the AC worked well. The bathroom could use better ventilation, but that was the only small issue. The Lido hotel next door can get noisy with its events, though it was sometimes entertaining and usually wrapped up by 10.30pm. Recommended.

OMG, I saw this hotel again and it's still there! I stayed here three or four times as a child with my Grands in the early 80s. I'm really impressed by how it looks now, modern and friendly. I'll come back when I have time.
