B&B Al Porto Novo

This felt like a scam. I booked a stay on July 21st at the B&B by Bisceglie's new port and paid the owner directly by bank transfer, without any agency or partner business involved. Booking listed the rooms as "elevator accessible," so I contacted the owner myself to ask whether the rooms had showers rather than bathtubs, whether there was disabled parking nearby, and whether she could point us to an accessible beach resort. I arrived on July 31st with my mother, who has a disability. Only after paying the full stay did I learn that the elevator was a freight elevator, not suitable for carrying people, and the first-floor rooms could only be reached by stairs. The owner became rude and said I hadn't told her about our mobility issues. She proposed using the freight lift, but only when they were present. Since this is a B&B without a hotel-style reception, that would have meant keeping my mother in the room. I had to leave and ask for a refund. At noon on July 31st, I was searching for somewhere accessible in a town with a historic center like Bisceglie. Despite repeated reminders, I still haven't received the full refund. Beyond the money, this was unfair and disrespectful, especially to a 67-year-old woman who already deals with daily limitations and then had to miss the vacation she'd always dreamed of.

The staff are very friendly, and there's a lovely balcony where you can enjoy breakfast with a beautiful view. It's a charming B&B near the port in this lovely town.

The women on the staff deserve a huge compliment 🤩 They're professional, the customer service is excellent, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and smell fresh. Breakfast on the wonderful terrace was excellent, with an enviable harbor view. The train station and historic center are very close too, so the location is excellent. Well done, ladies! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I tried both a double room and a single, and found each one beautiful and welcoming. The double had a nice balcony with a table looking out over the harbor. My single faced inland and came with a little terrace and a lounge chair for relaxing. Both rooms were cozy and clean, with a mini-fridge stocked with water and juice, radiators, air conditioning, and very comfortable mattresses. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, especially the granola croissant. The owner was genuinely kind and friendly. The setting is excellent, right by the harbor, close to the historic center and about 15 minutes from the train station.
