The staff were friendly and helpful, though they didn’t speak English. It wasn’t a major problem. The palace itself is beautiful, with elegant, authentic decor throughout, and our spacious room had a small balcony. Breakfast was a decent sweet spread on a lovely white rooftop terrace. The location is superb, about 150m from the cathedral, and Bari Airport is around a 10-minute drive away. The free parking is very secure but some distance away. Our host drove us there and back to the hotel, and did the same after checkout. My only small suggestion: the pillows could be smaller or softer ;)

The decor is beautiful and has a real feeling of stepping back in time. After a 10-hour ferry ride from Greece, the 25-minute drive here was a small effort, and I forgot how tired I was almost as soon as I arrived. The location is perfect, a minute’s walk from the main square, with restaurants, supermarkets, and a fuel station all within a couple of minutes. It’s pet friendly and people friendly, too. The staff went out of their way to sort out any issues and make my simple one-day stay unforgettable. I wish I’d booked more nights, and I’d only been checked in for half an hour when I wrote this. They even gave me an early check-in at 12.30, which worked perfectly since the ferry docks at 11 am.

The accommodation was nice, clean, and the staff were helpful. I checked in very late, and Giuliana was really kind and helped me with my onward journey too. I want to thank her for helping in every way she could. Giuliana, you’re a superstar. I’ll definitely stay here again and hope to see you next time. ♥️

A very beautiful and interesting hotel, with decor I’d rate 10/10. It would be easier to communicate if the staff learned English, but that wasn’t a serious problem. Breakfast could be upgraded a little, though it was fine.
