Luxury Como Lake Apartment

The outdoor space was beautiful and fully furnished, and the pool area was a great bonus with a lovely lake view. The apartment itself was very clean, with spacious rooms, and it’s been renovated beautifully. It has modern technology and sits on a hill, so the lake view is stunning, especially over morning coffee or an afternoon aperitif. There were some real drawbacks, though. The king bed was two twin mattresses pushed together, and they kept sliding apart and leaving a gap. There’s no washing machine, and the grocery store isn’t nearby, so come prepared since nothing is provided. We had car trouble and arrived after 6 pm; the key was left outside with instructions. For a luxury apartment, I expected a better welcome. There are cameras inside and out for security, which I understand, but I wasn’t comfortable even after being told they were turned off. Their lights came on as we walked by, so I wasn’t sure. Parking meant leaving the car down the hill and climbing many, many steps. Also, different people came into the backyard and pool area without warning on each of three days. I didn’t like strangers coming in, so we called the agent and asked to be told if anyone needed access. It’s a beautiful renovation, and with some changes or additions, it could be a full 5/5.
