Como's Lake Mountains

This is based on the particular room we stayed in. The staff were friendly, the area was very quiet at night, and the outside temperatures were comfortable, so we only needed a little heat in the evening. The room was fairly clean, though we did find someone’s old sock under the sofa bed. The kitchen was clean and had a decent supply of cooking gear: pots, cutlery, glasses, cups, microwave, fridge, stove, dishwasher and coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and had a tub/shower, toilet, bidet and washing machine. There was a big mirror outside the bathroom, handy for a wife to put on makeup while her spouse was using it. A small supermarket downstairs was convenient for buying basics. Some things were less comfortable. The sofa bed was the sleeping arrangement rather than a regular bed, and it may not suit older people very well. There was no nightstand, so reading while my spouse slept was difficult. The tub was awkward to get in and out of, especially perhaps for larger people, and the shower temperature changed when the sink was running. Only three shower gel packets were supplied, and there was no laundry detergent. We needed to wash two small loads, so had to buy a large bottle and leave most of it behind. The large radiator in the living and sleeping area made pinging sounds as it warmed up at night. There was no A/C, though I don’t know how warm it gets in summer. Restaurants within walking distance were limited. There was an iffy pizza place in town and a restaurant at a sports facility where we had a really terrible burger. Since we were the only customers, we were wary of ordering anything more substantial. The included breakfast was one reason we booked, but it didn’t match the pictures on the travel site: it was a croissant, coffee and a glass of juice.
