Country house Cascina Cornella

We especially loved the warm hosts, Maria Luisa and Pierre Carlo, and the fresh meal they made for us each night. They were wonderful with our 1.5 years old daughter and helped her feel at ease. The location between the mountains and Lake Como is great, and the rooms were clean and big enough. We had an awesome stay!

The family made us feel so welcome, and our time at Cascina Cornella was a real highlight of our trip around Italy. It's a peaceful, beautiful spot in a canyon, with the nearby creek making a soothing background sound. The place feels private and remote, though the village of Maggio is an easy walk away. The accommodation and food were wonderful.

We came back two weeks later with Australian friends and Italian friends from Mandello, which says how much we enjoyed our first lunch. We were driving up from Lake Como and arrived while the owners were having lunch with their family after being away for 4 days. We hadn't booked, and they could have turned us away, but instead they welcomed us into a fantastic afternoon of family life, good food, and great company. Piercarlo and Marialuisa, thanks from your first Aussies. The local produce and real food were fantastic, and the location has a beautiful view down the valley. The hosts were so friendly and hospitable, and cooked great food. They even helped us get back to Lecco when it was time to go home. Their dog is very friendly too. We really enjoyed our stay.
