The advice I'd give future visitors is to bring comfortable walking shoes. The volcanic terrain can be tough, especially uphill. We also took ferry trips to Stromboli, Lipari, and Vulcano, with gorgeous views and dolphins playing in the waves behind the ferry. We arrived well after midnight during the first week of August 2023, worn out after a long, delayed journey and a relentless heatwave. The hotel staff greeted us warmly and got us settled quickly. Our room had two bedrooms, a comfortable bathroom with a refreshing shower and toilet, and much-needed air conditioning. The rooms stayed clean and comfortable throughout our visit. Marinella Hotel in Capo Vaticano turned what could have been a difficult holiday into a really enjoyable escape. The staff were friendly and made us feel genuinely cared for. A special cooking evening stood out even alongside the already fantastic lunches and dinners. Every dish was presented with pride, and you could feel the staff's passion for sharing the food with guests. We were there with my wife and son for a summer trip to Italy. Marinella Hotel became a welcome refuge from the August heat. If you're visiting this part of Italy, consider staying there.

We made some nice holiday memories here. The staff were friendly and helped us with any problems, and the hotel is well placed for walking to a beautiful beach. We had half board, and both breakfast and dinner were good. Good value for money.

One of my best stays in 14 weeks of budget travelling so far. The rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies and coastal views, and the staff are charming and friendly. They picked me up from the railway station, which was a lovely start. You can walk down to the beach or relax by the pool, and meals are a good deal, with a varied breakfast buffet and an affordable menu. For comfort, cleanliness, facilities, and value, I rate Hotel Marinella highly. It's a great spot for a relaxing break.

The setting is beautiful, the food is varied and tasty, and the staff are extraordinarily friendly. The van drivers deserve special mention, they're always ready to help out. Some of the hotel's furnishings feel retro, though.

The rooms are just okay, with basic equipment and beds that aren't very comfortable. Breakfast wasn't tasty either. It was mostly poor ham and cheese, toast, scrambled eggs, and coffee. The melon was the best thing I ate there ;-) The hotel is fine if you keep your expectations modest.
