Da Matilde was warm and cozy, and spotless throughout. The place was neat and carefully kept, like a five-star hotel. My wife, our three children, and I stayed there, and there wasn’t anything we felt needed improving.

The price felt fair for an Italian city. The owners were very friendly and did their best to make us feel welcome, and they succeeded. I’d definitely stay there again if I’m back in town.

The location worked well, not far from the central station and only a short walk from the historic center. The rooms were clean. What I didn’t like was how hard it was to contact the hotel, especially while on site. After spending several hours in the hospital, I messaged to ask how to heat the room, but never got a reply.
