B&B Elegance

The location near the center is the one good thing. We waited over 20 minutes outside the building for someone to let us in, even though we'd told the owner when we were arriving. It was noisy and not clean at all. The place needs renovating urgently. Avoid it if you can.

At night I couldn't sleep because of the neighbors, and the walls are so thin I could hear every word. The toilet isn't separated from the bedroom, so you smell it as soon as you walk in, and end up with your head next to it. The room was only 1 by 2 meters, with nowhere to put my suitcase, yet they charged me a high price. Worst experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

The location made the stay enjoyable. We were very close to the city center, bars and restaurants, with a coffee shop downstairs and a supermarket nearby. The room felt cozy, with a comfortable bed, a small kitchen and a balcony, and it was clean and nice, almost like an apartment. We did have trouble with the heating. The radiator didn't work, so we had to use the AC, which wasn't very comfortable. The boiler was the worst part, though. It made enough noise that my boyfriend woke up earlier each morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Still, I think it's a good balance of comfort, price, and distance.

October 2020. The good parts were the location, the fairly low price, and an owner who was nice enough. That's about all I can say in its favor. The room itself wasn't very clean, and the furnishings were cheap and falling apart. They'd propped up the bed with a DIY support to keep it from sagging. This was the “Imperiale” suite, so I can only imagine the smaller rooms. The shower had mold, and there was one bathroom for three rooms. It was very noisy both from the street and inside the building. The windows were single glazed with gaps, and there was no sound insulation between rooms. Air conditioning cost extra. The switch for the next room's AC was in our room, so the poor guy had to come in and use our socket to turn his on. It's a converted apartment on the fourth floor.
