Bed & Breakfast San Vitale

I’m here for work and have found the owner especially welcoming and helpful. The service has been great, with linens changed and staff available whenever needed. This modern, spacious apartment has three bright, comfortable rooms, all in a similar style but each with its own character and private shower bathroom. There are two terraces set up for relaxing. The shared kitchen has a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, stovetop, and plenty of accessories. It’s a bed and breakfast in a central part of Bologna, handy for the train station and hospital and a short walk from the center. Buses and taxis are convenient too. The place suits either a short or long stay. A positive experience, I’d recommend it.

The location is fairly convenient, about half an hour from the city center, and prices in Bologna seem high. Still, for me this room wasn’t worth the cost. We stayed one night, and although it was clean, it was extremely cramped, barely big enough for the bed. At night there was hardly any airflow, so we had to use the air conditioning. The window opened right over the bed, felt dangerous, had no screen, and faced a busy, noisy street. The bathroom, especially the shower, is really only suitable for slim people. Breakfast was decent, with packaged snacks and homemade espresso, but the eating area wasn’t: there was one table for two shared by three rooms. There are lots of rooms, so I’m only describing the one we had. You’d need to be very adaptable.

The owner, Mr. Antonio, was so kind and easy to talk to, and made himself available for anything we needed. The owners clearly put a lot of care into the place, and they made us feel at home. The kitchen for breakfast and lunch was excellent, fully equipped with a coffee machine and fridge, and plenty of good breakfast items. Everything was attended to, from the spotless rooms to the brand-new, immaculate bathroom and new furnishings. Our room had all the comforts, including air conditioning and an LED TV. The B&B is a five-minute walk from the center of Bologna, a lovely distance for an evening stroll. We received such a warm, thoughtful welcome, and I can only say positive things. Highly recommended.

We felt at home at this B&B, and the staff were friendly and ready to guide us whenever we had a question. Mr. Antonio was reliable and available for anything we needed. The place is in a lovely area with amenities nearby and within easy walking distance. We had three wonderful days. The rooms and furnishings were tasteful, clean, and well arranged, with Wi-Fi, TV, a hairdryer, and even plenty of good shower gel. Everything was looked after down to the smallest detail. We’ll definitely come back.
