The owner communicated really well, and checking in online was easy. Our first-floor room was clean, comfortable and well equipped, with a spotless bathroom, a big shower and very comfortable beds. The pillow was too soft for us, though. There's parking on site. I didn't see any disabled access. We'll try to stay here again for the next Nerd Show.

The closest bar is a kilometer away, along a road without a sidewalk. Inside, the walls are plasterboard, so you hear and smell it if your neighbor farts. There's no fridge in the rooms, only one in a shared room where a man in his underwear sits on the couch all the time. Apparently he's the caretaker, and he's very rude. There's no kitchen. Cameras are everywhere with no signs marking them. It feels like living in Big Brother.

We had a clean four-person apartment with two rooms and a double bed in each. Towels and sample-size shampoo, shower gel and soap were provided. It also had air conditioning, shutters, a balcony with a small table, plus a safe and hairdryer in the closet. The area is quiet and right by a train station, handy for a quick trip to Florence. There's a kitchen downstairs, though no electric kettle. That didn't bother us since we planned to eat out. One annoyance: the entrance gate makes a terrible noise when opened with a code. Coming back in the middle of the night probably disturbs the other guests and neighbours. The gate didn't have a code.

The room felt cramped, with no terrace, though there was a private garden. Clean enough, nothing more. They came to clean in the morning, and I found my room door left open. From S Vitale station, it's a five-minute walk along a street with almost no sidewalk.
