4roomz has a cozy atmosphere and feels really different from anywhere else I’ve stayed. It’s a fun, unusual place for a couple or friends. The main train station is right there, and the bus into the city center is close too. There’s a luggage locker next door that you can rent if you arrive early for check-in. It was good value and fit our large suitcase. I’d really recommend staying here.

My daughter arrived in Bologna after midnight in July 2023, and the access was closed. She had an early train from the central station, only 5' from the hotel, so I had to buy her a room at a neighboring hotel. I paid for this place and never got that money back, then paid more for another hotel right nearby that same night. I’d booked in a rush and made two mistakes: I hadn’t read the reviews, and I assumed a listing on booking.com couldn’t be a scam. Before her arrival, I tried calling the listed number, but no one answered. The next day, after lengthy calls and only once I’d notified booking.com, an extremely rude individual finally answered. He said he wasn’t obliged to answer the phone all the time, said he hated booking. com, and made other comments that seemed incredible from a representative, manager, or owner in a European country today. The owner complained about my original review, though plenty of other reviews also describe this individual’s behavior. I don’t know why "google.com" deleted my review, so I’m posting this more explicit version to help others avoid being fooled as I was. As of February 2024, booking.com no longer seemed to offer accommodation at this hotel.

Anna was a huge help, and the instructions made it easy to find the place and get inside. We had a great night in a super cool room, and it’s a lovely choice for couples. For a special Bologna stay with a jacuzzi and champagne, choose 4roomz!

I had a good time in Bologna, but dreaded going back to sleep at the hotel. Everything felt dark: the towels, floors, sheets, and poor lighting. Even the shower was black, so it was hard to tell how clean anything was. There were stains on all the towels and sheets, and the decorations were really bad. I’d seen positive comments about the place and its helpful staff, but I never saw anyone. Gordon Ramsay should do a new season of hotel hell there.
