We spent four nights here. The location is fantastic, and the old building has plenty of character, but the listing's claim of two bedrooms and four beds doesn't match what you actually get. One sleeping space is barely 1.5 metres high, has no window, and only a loud fan. You have to crawl in, and the uncomfortable mattress sits on the floor. For what this place costs, that's disappointing. The other so-called bedroom is really the living room. There wasn't a usable dining table, since it was stuck behind the beds, and the dishes were few and dirty. The rest of the setup was basic too, with no bathroom counter and no window blinds. I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay, and two people would be the most I'd suggest. Such a shame.

The house itself is pleasant and clean, and it's fairly close to the center. But the air conditioning is so old it doesn't warm the room properly. The lower level is at least 5°C warmer. Replacing the unit might save them money on both electricity and the equipment, I imagine.

The location is ideal, only a few minutes from central Bologna and the Church of Santo Stefano, and check-in was quick and simple. The apartment is lovely and has the basics you need. In summer, though, couples may be more comfortable using the downstairs sofa bed, since the air conditioning keeps that space pleasant. It's very hot upstairs by the double bed and bathroom. Recommended.

You can't beat the location, and the house is decent enough. Service, though, was nowhere to be found. The sleeping spot is a futon in an attic with less than 1.50 m of headroom.
