They told my wife and me that everything was fine and the weather would be okay by the time we arrived, even though Italian and local agencies in Bologna were advising people to avoid the region because catastrophic flooding posed a risk of personal injury. The property management was rude and still expected us to stay there during the crisis. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with anyone who expects guests to enter a flooded area during an emergency. They seemed to care about getting our money, not about us as people.

We’ve stayed in Bologna several times and tried other apartments at similar prices, so I have a basis for comparison. This one was on the 3rd floor, felt cold, and the apartment doors were difficult to open. The location didn’t work well for us either: no view and no nice restaurants nearby. If you book ahead, you can find much nicer places in the center.

Via Pratello has plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, and the apartment was quiet at night, so it was easy to rest. Piazza Maggiore is about a 10-minute walk away. The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean and pleasant, and the kitchen had good equipment. Picking up the keys without contact was handy. Getting up to the second floor could be difficult for some people. It’s a pleasant place for a short Bologna stay.
