I was there for football, and the property was perfect for that, just a 10-minute walk away. The host was very welcoming, and it’s a brilliant place. The main attractions and train station are both about a half-hour walk, though you can take a bus too. It’s also near the walk to San Luca. I didn’t have time for that, but I hope I get to return. Bologna is a beautiful city.

We stayed one night. The room was clean, and the owner was helpful, but the communication hadn’t said that the bathroom was shared or that the owner lives in the apartment.

Mr. Giuseppe was very kind and attentive to making guests feel comfortable. He laid the breakfast table beautifully, and there were delicious cookies, a small bottle of water and a glass in the room, plus slippers. He even closes the living room door when he smokes so the guests aren’t disturbed. My room was lovely and spacious, with a comfortable double bed. A wonderful stay, and I’ll be back next week.

It’s a quiet location, about a 30-minute walk from the center. The first-floor apartment has three separate bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a breakfast area. Basic, but clean.
