We couldn’t arrive by 8 pm because our flight was delayed. The boss and staff were extremely unfriendly and showed no concern. She didn’t offer any way for us to collect the keys, kept our money, and rented the place to someone else. This listing on Booking.com is associated with Riva Reno Rooms 4 and Riva Reno Rooms 54. I’d avoid anything listed as Riva Reno Rooms or Appartments. I’ve visited Bologna several times, and people or companies like this damage Italy’s reputation. I’ve never felt scammed this way in another country, only Italy.

The central location was a real plus, and my private room and bathroom stayed clean throughout my stay from late September into early October. The host was very kind and spoke Spanish, which helped me a lot. I was travelling alone without a credit card, so I called him from my country beforehand to get my check-in documents ready. Check-in went smoothly, and checkout was even easier: just leave the keys in the room and go, as long as it’s during the proper hours. I can only speak for my room, but I had a good experience. It seems suitable for a few days away, whether you’re on your own or as a couple.

Wouldn’t recommend this at all. After I booked through Booking.com, the property messaged me on WhatsApp saying the price would be much higher.

I booked two nights, went to the address, and found the office closed. They hung up on me ten times, then said they didn’t work with Booking, Priceline, or any of those services. They took my money, and when I called Priceline, I couldn’t get a refund. This place in Bologna is a fraud. Don’t go.

We had to find somewhere else to stay in Bologna at short notice, and this place worked well for us. The balcony was lovely, with greenery, and Marco was kind and helpful. They provided towels, toilet paper, and shampoo.
