Hotel San Giorgio

After wandering around for 3-4 hours, I finally found this hotel late at night. My phone was completely broken, and I'd gotten lost in Bologna while trying to find the hostel I'd booked. This was the least expensive room nearby, and finding it was a huge relief. It had a nice bathroom with a shower booth, a simple but great bed, and breakfast waiting for me the next morning. After a delicious breakfast, the kind receptionist Santino called a taxi to take me to an official phone support shop. They couldn't fix my phone, so I came back and asked Santino to help me find somewhere else that could repair it. I had to wait a day for the shop to diagnose and get my phone working again. Since I didn't have enough money to keep staying at the hotel, I started looking for my hostel. I was struggling to find the right address, and Santino helped me locate it. He and another receptionist even let me stay in the lobby until the hostel's check-in time, and I got in successfully. A huge thank you to the receptionists, especially Santino, for helping and encouraging me through the most challenging trip! I can't thank him and his colleagues enough. Grazie mille, Santino!!!

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, air-conditioned, and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and free when included in your reservation. Staff were polite and helpful, and from the hotel near Bologna's centre it's easy to walk to everything. I definitely recommend it.

The service made this place the highlight of our whole European trip. All the staff made a real effort to look after us, especially Mr. Santino, who we now think of as our Italian friend. We loved the comfortable bed, good soundproofing, excellent room service, and delicious complimentary breakfast. Hotel San Giorgio is in the heart of Bologna's historic centre, in a lively area at night and fairly close to the station. My wife and I love exploring new places and cultures, but nothing beats a local experience. We'd definitely stay here on another trip to Europe and Bologna, and recommend it.

The rooms are simple but comfortable. Mine didn't have a frigobar and the shower area was small, though we had nothing else to complain about. The staff were great, and we had lovely chats with them late at night and again in the morning. Service and breakfast were good, and the location couldn't be better. The best restaurants are a 5 minute walk away, and the train station is close for day trips. Highly recommended.
