From the farmhouse you can see the spectacular Sacra di San Michele, beautifully lit at night. It sits in picturesque Chiusa di San Michele, below the mountains of the Susa Valley and right beneath the Sacra. The room is beautiful and detailed with care. The hosts are helpful, friendly, and pleasant, and breakfast is both plentiful and delicious, especially the exceptional homemade cakes. Nearby villages and the village itself offer plenty of spots for authentic, tasty lunches and dinners.

During the corn festival I visited this B&B, which felt very welcoming, warm, and pleasant. For foreign visitors who are interested in the history of the Susa Valley, it’s an ideal place.

There’s just one room, and the owners are delightful. It’s in an excellent spot on the Via Francigena, right at the foot of the Sacra di San Michele.
