Reception were hilariously friendly and welcoming, and the building was well maintained with lots of options. My four-bed female dorm was very clean, the bathroom was spacious, and my towel was changed daily. The room had a wardrobe, stools, and lockers by the entrance. The lockers are steel boxes, though, and pretty loud to open and close. You can open the windows fully to air the room, and there’s AC too. I ended up in an upper bunk with no privacy at all, since there were no curtains or anything. The hostel is quite near the station, but walking into town takes at least 20 minutes. I’d definitely stay here again, and maybe ask for a bunk bed next time.

Marco made a stressful booking situation much easier. As a first-time visitor from China, I wasn't familiar with local accommodation, and a delayed visa caused several problems. He stayed patient through several rounds of communication and helped get everything sorted so the trip could go smoothly. The hostel was better than I expected, with spotless rooms, a pleasant garden downstairs, good-quality facilities, and food and drinks at reasonable prices. My colleague and I had booked separately, but the staff kindly arranged for us to share a room. A really good stay, and I'd recommend it.

The staff were really nice, and the bar downstairs was fine too. For this price, it's hard to find a better place: clean, spacious, and quiet. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Bologna.

We reached the hostel easily on bus 30. On arrival day, we also walked there from behind the main station. The staff even helped with small things, like lending me a pen late at night and giving me paper for planning the next day's sightseeing. Before our train to Florence, we tried the reception bar, where the coffee and toast were fresh and tasty. Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and the rubbish taken away, and it even had a refrigerator, which was more than we expected. The hostel suited our needs very well, including the request we made because of my travel companion's health and disability. Gioele welcomed us late in the evening after we'd come straight from the airport. He was kind, helpful, and easy to talk to, as were the other staff. I'd happily recommend this place to friends planning a stay in Bologna.
