Cà du Ferrà Farm & Relax

The setting is pleasant, but the room was depressing and in terrible shape. The bed was so tight against the walls that moving around was difficult, and we had to take a cheap plastic stool out of the bathroom just to get in. Bedding is changed once a week and towels twice a week. Breakfast was poor. It was left on a tray, and I couldn't tell whether anything was homemade. For one person there were three small cheese pieces, a slice of bread, a slice of cake, a little yogurt, a boiled egg, a Nespresso capsule, juice, jam, butter, milk, and half a small bowl of cornflakes. We got one bowl between two of us, no bowls otherwise, no forks or spoons except the coffee stirrers. A woman gave me the keys and showed me where to park, but I didn't see anyone again. They supposedly have a winery, but I got no information about it or other activities. The station is five minutes away on foot, but the route is dark and has lots of random stairs, and one of us fell badly. Bring a flashlight. I asked to leave the car in the parking lot after the 10 am checkout so we could take the train to Cinque Terre one last time, but they said no. When I booked, I didn't know what "agriturismo" meant. After this, I'd guess it means a shabby room in the countryside. It's overpriced, inconveniently located, and the last fifteen minutes of the drive are winding mountain roads. Add the bad room and seriously lacking hospitality, and I see no reason to visit.

The cottages sit in a secluded creek setting, reached by a path through the garden. It’s a lovely hidden spot and a great alternative to overcrowded Chinqua terra. We recommend taking their bicycles along the old railroad grade. We’ll definitely stay again when we're back in the area.

Our room was in a renovated watermill in a separate nearby building from the agriturismo. From the road, it's a 150-meter walk along a path that's lit at night. The setting feels like a fairytale, with a stream flowing only a few meters from the two rooms. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning with a heat pump, a TV, a fridge, and a Nespresso machine. In summer, you can relax on the outdoor loungers and enjoy the property's quiet. There's also a gas stove outside for cooking.
