Getting into the B&B took a moment, since the entrance is at the back by the parking area, not the door at the front. There’s parking, and the rooms are quiet, with plenty of space and a nice view. It’s an old farm in a small village near piatsenza. Breakfast was nice, though it didn’t feel very much like Italian countryside fare. Communication can be difficult because the owners speak German and Italian, but not English.

The room and bathroom were both spacious and had what we needed. It was hot outside, so having a fan in the room was a real help. I didn’t notice any insects, despite what some other guests mentioned. With the mosquito net closed, we slept soundly. The owners were kind, and being able to speak with them in English was a big plus in Italy. We enjoyed the very good breakfast and delicious coffee, and remember the stay fondly.

The private courtyard parking made things especially convenient. We slept really well in the comfortable beds, and were welcomed in German, which was great service. It’s a lovely village and a comfortable place to stay.

We came for one night while visiting the castle of Chignolo Po on a day trip. The farmhouse is out in the countryside but easy to reach, and it was wonderfully quiet, just what my partner and I wanted after the concrete of the city. The rooms and bathroom were about as big as my whole apartment, and everything was clean and tidy. The husband and wife managing the place were lovely and helpful, without ever getting in the way. It seems ideal for children too.

The owner was a lovely person to chat with and a great hostess, and we were welcomed warmly even though we arrived late. We stayed one night on the way to Livorno, two adults with our dog. The room was large and nice, the bed comfortable, and breakfast was sweet but enough for us. It suited our trip perfectly, and we’d happily come back. Thank you!
