The hosts made our stay special from the start. They welcomed us so warmly, and were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our travels. We also got a real taste of Italy here, especially at the restaurant on the farm. The food was unbelievable, some of the best we’ve ever had. There’s a farm shop with things like honey and jams made there, and you can walk around the farm and see the animals. The villa is in lovely Tuscan countryside, with a beautiful pool area and air conditioning and other facilities that all worked really well. Borgo San Lorenzo is about a 10-minute drive away, with authentic Italian restaurants and bakeries at very good prices. You can park for free by the train station there, then take the train into central Florence, around 45 minutes each way. If you’re after both the feel of authentic Italy and access to tourist spots like Florence, this place is perfect.

Palazzo Vecchio and the people who run it deserve a huge thank you for welcoming us like family. The dinner in question was something I organized and shared with all the parents. I find the negative remarks disrespectful, especially when someone speaks on behalf of everyone. Mr. Ermanno Mordini, whose name is made up, also left out that some children were rude that evening and damaged things at the farmhouse. If we’re going to write a critical review, we should tell the whole story.

We went to the farm with my two-year-old grandson, and it was a really positive outing for him and for us grandparents. The staff were kind, friendly, very helpful, and told us lots of things. We also saw the children's group with its two very talented teachers. It’s a lovely, well-run farm, and we’re all delighted, including my grandson. Congratulations! We live nearby, so I can’t say anything about the hotel, but we’ll definitely come back to book lunch or dinner.
