We stayed in La Cantina, the little apartment, and it was just right for two. The terrace gives you a lovely view over Tuscany, and everything inside has been furnished with care. Lynn and Michael were warm, helpful hosts and have made a place where you feel at home straight away. Podere Capitignano is wonderful for a quiet, peaceful break. We’d happily come again.

Elizabetta made us feel welcome from day one, and Lexi the German Shepherd was lovely company. The pool was immaculate, and there are fantastic chairs around the property for lounging. We had a wonderful, quiet holiday tucked into the Tuscan hills and surrounded by nature. The rooms are basic, as expected, and without air conditioning they can get quite hot in the evenings. The kitchen is a little small, but we managed to cook our dinners there without trouble. Thanks!

WARNING! We ended up with insect bites all over our bodies from bugs in the beds, not mosquitoes, and both bedrooms were affected. The landlord was entirely uncooperative and indirectly suggested we were trying to commit fraud to get a refund. The house furniture is very old and poorly maintained, with no couch or comfortable seating for 4-6 people apart from the dining table. The terrace furniture is also very old, and some of it is broken. Watch out for the defective loungers, which could cause injuries. The owner wasn’t very hospitable either. Every day, we were told to leave the pool at 7:30 PM so the owner and his wife could use it privately.

The view from the pool was breathtaking, and our family had an amazing time at Podere Capitignano. We stayed at La Fattatoria, a beautiful, clean house with everything we needed. We wished we could have stayed longer, and we’re already thinking about when to return. I sincerely recommend it, you’ll be more than happy there!

Sweet owners and an idyllic setting. The place is simple as intended, but very clean and well equipped. It’s in a lovely location, though getting to Chianti or Florence takes quite a drive.
