We had comfortable, spacious rooms with good equipment, and the grounds with olive trees everywhere are charming. The staff were nice too. Breakfast had a great spread, both sweet and savory. Dinner was good, though the portions felt really small and the prices seemed about 20-30% too high. On our first day we reported that the window shutter was broken and hard to operate, but nobody came to fix it during our stay.

The masseria itself is beautiful, built right against the rock. But it sits in an industrial area, and the service was the real letdown: staff seemed unprofessional and made very little effort, with some moments that felt a bit rude. It was disappointing, and it didn’t feel like a four-star stay at all.

You’ll need a car to get around and explore the area. The family gave us such a warm welcome, even though our flight was three hours late and we arrived at 1:30am. Our room was spacious and had great air conditioning, which mattered in 36-degree heat. Breakfast was nice, with plenty of local produce.

We spent some lovely afternoons by the pool, and the comfortable room, music, and atmosphere made the stay feel special. The food was a big highlight too: we had two fantastic dinners here, and the chef really lived up to what I’d read beforehand. Francesco welcomed us warmly, showed us to our room, and shared the hotel’s history. Erasmo was our favorite, full of knowledge and genuinely passionate about the area. His suggestions were great. We visited Ginosa and Gravina, both so special, and also went to Altamura, where we had dinner at Calvi, a great restaurant. The staff were amazing throughout. If you get the chance to stay here, it’s a real treat.
