Villa Giulia

The room was nice, but there was a strange smell from the air conditioning, perhaps because it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The host also told us to turn the AC off whenever we left, saying the electrical system couldn’t handle more than one or two appliances. Our sleep was rough, and one night we barely got 2 hours because of loud noises outside. We felt watched all day, as the host kept mentioning that she could see us on the cameras. The whole stay at Villa Giulia was uncomfortable. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel under pressure. We’d expected a varied breakfast menu based on the recommendation, but were offered coffee, water, and a croissant. Anything extra cost more. They’d asked about our dietary needs before we arrived, but didn’t accommodate them at all, saying it was “too much complicated.” I’m not happy to write such a bad review, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience for me or my family. It was their first visit to Campania, and they didn’t get to enjoy it fully. I’d like to give the place another chance, but some things definitely need to change.

The room itself was decent, but the cleaning was poor. The top of the shower was dirty, apparently because pigeons got in when previous guests left the bathroom window open. Ants were everywhere, even though we had no food in the house. The service was the worst part: no fresh towels for 3 nights, and we were put in a room at a different location from the villa we had booked. They said it was “just 100mt away (by feet),” but driving there took 10mins because of the road rules. The host also told us how and when to use the AC. I can’t give 0 stars, so I’m giving 1 for each topic. The location may be strategic, but it didn’t feel that way to me. I really think there must be some mistake, because all the other reviews are so positive. Maybe those guests stayed in a different house. Here’s my advice to the hosts: the experience matters more than having a nice house. Put more effort into service, availability, and kindness toward guests instead of relying on a lovely house with a pool.

A lovely B&B in a peaceful area, with easy access to pretty much anywhere. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, the pool was cute, and the food was perfect. The hosts were so lovely too. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

The staff were really kind and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are very nice, and the B&B is super cute. I had a brilliant stay.
