This was a disgusting place, and I can barely call it a hotel. We checked in and wanted to leave that same night, so we booked somewhere else. They agreed to refund the fee, but it never came. When we went back, they said they wouldn’t pay us back.

Such a lovely place to spend time.

The sea is beautiful, and the resort can be a peaceful place to stay. Even with the problems I had with the entertainment, I’d recommend it for a quiet holiday. The Village itself is showing its age, though, and several parts need maintenance and renovation. Our room was always clean, with fresh towels every day. Thanks, Gilda. The staff around the village were friendly and helpful. At the all-inclusive buffet, getting the first and second courses was a bit disorganized, but there was plenty of food. Most of it was decent, with just a few dishes disappointing. The dining room staff were especially kind and helpful. Thanks, Giacomo and Caterina, and everyone in the kitchen and dining room. The entertainment was the big letdown. The head entertainer’s shows felt unimaginative, with him taking center stage as presenter while the others seemed to go through the motions in the fruit dance. There was no junior service for ages 14-17. They invited Neapolitan comedian Lino Barbieri one evening, which cheered the place up, but that was the only time. We also noticed the entertainers getting nervous with each other, including verbal abuse. The head entertainer seemed unable to manage the group. There was one 50s/60s sketch, fortunately just one, with cheap, low-level jokes. His forced Neapolitan dialect made it even harder to enjoy. Guests had already written a negative review during their stay, and one evening he repeated the words used to describe him, presumptuous and unpleasant, several times. It came across as if he knew what people thought. Guests have every right to share their opinion when they pay and don’t get the service they expect. Nine out of ten reviews criticize the entertainment team, while one praises him. Maybe that one was from a relative. Next season the team will be different, apart from a few helpful and kind people.
