We had a mixed stay, and won't be back. The road in is extremely narrow, though they kindly let us check in early when we were exhausted. Our room was spacious and had its own bathroom. After a nap, we looked around the property, which seemed unkept. Maybe it's better maintained in summer, but at the end of the off season it looked a bit rough. The room was very cold at bedtime, and the radiant heaters didn't work. My husband is usually warm, but even he shivered getting out of bed. There was definitely a fire going in the main part of the house, since it smelled smoky when we checked out. Also, someone living next to our room turned the TV up quite loud around 10:30 pm. It kept us awake until about 2:15 am, when it was finally turned off.

It's a rustic agritourism stay, and we found that charming. There are some quirks, like a sit-down shower, but the place is fantastic for what it is and relatively inexpensive. I thought the negative reviews expecting a luxury five-star hotel were ridiculous. We loved the animals, the pool and lounge area, and the delicious breakfasts. The views are picturesque, and it's not far from the lake or castle. The farm family was lovely. If you're not used to Italian summer weather, the small extra charge for air conditioning is well worth it. We'll recommend it to our friends.

We came without much expectation, but the lake view from our spacious, comfortable room made a great first impression. It was well equipped and furnished, too. The place is surrounded by nature but still close to town and the main sights. Breakfast was fine, with some homemade products. Maybe the host could be more welcoming and a bit more open to guests' requests. I don't usually give five out of five because there's always something to improve, but this place impressed us. If air conditioning were free, it would be perfect. Great for couples and families, and I really recommend it.
