Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff were friendly, professional, and happy to help with requests or recommendations. The room was comfortable, clean, and well looked after. Being so central and near the main attractions made getting around simple. It felt calm, offered good value for the price, and I'd stay here again and recommend it to other visitors.

We found bed bugs in the bed on the morning we checked out, after staying three nights. We took photos and reported it right away. It was disgusting and stressful, and we had to keep our belongings bagged and take extra care with our clothes and luggage when we got home because we were worried about bringing them into our house. Bed bugs are a serious health and sanitation concern, not a small inconvenience. The host's response was just as upsetting: they were dismissive, blamed us, and offered an inadequate refund. They said the room had been sanitized the day before we arrived “as a precaution,” which did little to reassure us and raised further concerns. Based on what happened, other travelers should think carefully before booking here.

We were treated with real kindness, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. Check-in seemed a little disorganized, but it worked out, and breakfast was practical. The hotel felt clean and mostly spacious. The location is good, though the walk from the nearest metro station takes about 20 minutes uphill, with poor or missing pedestrian infrastructure. If you're carrying heavy bags or depending on public transport, I'd avoid the metro and take a taxi or bus instead. Lines 49 and 46 stop just a block away. My family booked two rooms. Ours was fine and looked clean, but my parents got bed bug bites in their room, which was disappointing. It may have been limited to that room, but I can't be sure.

Tanya/Natalia, please forgive me if I've got her name wrong, the cleaner originally from Peru, was easily the friendliest and most delightful person we met. Please consider giving her a generous tip. We stayed for a week in September, and the room was more than adequate and very clean, thanks largely to the hard-working housekeeping staff. Breakfast included fruit and yoghurt but was mostly sweet. We weren't left any complimentary water, unlike at most places we stayed in Italy. The hosts let us leave our bags on departure day, though their service felt rather perfunctory. Next time in Rome, I'd look for somewhere with easier access to the Vatican, since the uphill walk back at the end of the day was arduous.
