That lovely hotel dog, Nicki, was a bonus. After long workdays during the Winter Olympics, it made a real difference to come back to a warm welcome and good food. Everyone on staff was super friendly, even though I don't speak much Italian or German.

We left with clean plates and happy faces. The staff were welcoming and polite, and the food was much better than I expected. I especially liked the cheeseburger and those potato chips with spicy dip. We ate here because our place up the hill didn't provide dinner, and I'd recommend stopping in if you live nearby or are passing on the way to lago di Braies.

The restaurant was a real highlight, with a great selection of quality meat and pasta at decent prices. Breakfast was good too. We booked two bedrooms; the furnishings felt old, but the room was very clean, right down to the nearly spotless chrome in the bathroom. Wi-Fi was fast, the staff were very kind, and the views and location were great. Prices felt fair.

We had cheeseburgers and salads, and both the food and the generous portions were really good. If we return to lake Braies, we'll eat here again.

The menu had plenty of choice, the food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We had two lovely dinners and sat out in the back garden, looking over the open meadows.
