The surroundings, animals, and atmosphere were fantastic. The food was good, though not outstanding, and since it was Sunday we had to choose from the set menu, which had limited options. I might come back for a relaxing spa weekend.

The staff spoke very little English, but that didn’t really affect the mood, and otherwise our stay was good. What did bother us was the chain-smoker staying in the ground-floor room. On a very hot day and night, we couldn’t open our windows. We’d expected the place to be smoke-free, so that was a strange disappointment. The road below the window also got quite noisy when traffic picked up.

This is an authentic working agriturismo, and everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful. The view over Branzi valley is lovely, and it’s a great base for walks and hikes further up the valley.

The room was comfortable and had a nice atmosphere. The restaurant was excellent, and there were lots of animals for the children to see in the lovely setting.
