Camping Monja

The pitches felt cramped, and they're close together, so there isn't much space or privacy. With our campervan awning up, stepping outside meant ending up in the bushes, and the hard ground wouldn't let us secure our tent pegs. A larger pitch with soil soft enough for pegs would have raised our rating. We were greeted warmly, and the staff stayed friendly and helpful throughout. The location is beautiful, as you'd expect at Lake Garda, with plenty of bars and restaurants an easy walk away. The on-site bar has reasonably priced drinks. Facilities were clean and the toilets well maintained, but there was no toilet paper or soap, so bring your own. Hot water for washing up costs extra, and the washing machine costs €5. It's a lovely setting with a welcoming feel, though compact pitches and extra charges are worth bearing in mind for longer stays or extra gear.
